Frangipani

6x6in Oil on gessoboard
Buy now

It's been a while since I posted... time has been limited for painting while we travel! I picked this Frangipani while out walking in Emerald, Australia. It is a favorite flower of mine and the perfume is gorgeous... I had it in a small vase in the caravan. Whenever I get time I will be painting I love the colors in the landscape here and the light is beautiful!!

Yellow Daisies

8"x6" Oil on gessoboard

I picked a few of these small daisies and just plonked them in this vase to stand on my window ledge...but decided to paint them first. I like the shape of this small vase and I find yellow a difficult color to paint sometimes, so thought it would be a good challenge for me...and It was!!

Another very nice surprise..."Olive Snack" was selected for FASO's Fav 15% in theApril Boldbrush Competition....I can't believe it! That is the second one, It is really encouraging!

Lavender

8"x6" Oil on canvas

I picked this bunch of lavender when I was out walking, I love the perfume of it and it lasts for days! Instead of putting it in a vase, I left it on my table and painted it as it was. I have been working on larger work and have got a little behind with my daily paintings. I used a palette knife as well as a brush. I definitely need a lot more practice but loved using it....love violet and green together too!

Protea

Drawing #14
Pen and watercolor

Got my drawing done! My friend has these flowers growing in her garden and bought me a bunch...instead of painting the whole vase full  I did just one. Trying to do the whole lot would have taken too much time! Drawing daily is good until life becomes busy with a thousand and one things to do..so I'm keeping it simple and as long as I get one done everyday it's still good practice!
