Another Bad Hair Day

6"x6" Oil on gessoboard
$100 +s/h

Poor girl is in need of a haircut! This was a bit of fun, I love painting close ups of animals, especially sheep and cows. The trick is to get a photo with the right expression which means taking lots of photos!!  I loved the shaggy wool on this girl.

Hello World

8"x6" Oil on gessoboard
SOLD

This is Harper...my friends granddaughter.  I love the happiness of this shot, she is such a sweet little girl! I was out of my comfort zone with this one but still enjoyed painting it and it was good to loosen up a little!
Just a thought!!!
Often people think being an artist is just fun....ha...it is and it isn't, you have to be willing to do whatever it takes!

Time Out

6"x8" Oil on gessoboard
$90 with display easel

Ordinary People

I came across this girl sitting on the beach one morning...I'm not sure what she was doing but it looked to me like she was taking a bit of time out before lifeguard duties. This is number 18 in the challenge, I hope to get another 3 finished before it ends!!

Time Out

Drawing #52
Graphite and pastel

We had beautiful warm weather at Easter and this girl took advantage of  it!  She was taking time out lying in the sun on the Estuary reserve across the road from my place. The light on her hair and the empty coke bottle caught my attention...I loved drawing this and I think I will end up painting it in oil!!

Waiting

Day Nineteen- 30 paintings in 30 Days

I  came across the small girl waiting for her brother to catch up with her while they were out walking with their Father one Sunday morning. It was the blue dress that caught my eye and gave me a reason  to paint something other than landscapes or still life....perfect for this challenge too! I have been doing pencil drawings of people for the last couple of months and enjoy it so why not paint them!!
