I have been wanting to get back to painting small again  I find it gives me the freedom to experiment and paint a lot of different subjects. After not painting frequently for over a year I need the practice, so here is the first one!! This is a small section of rocks that forms a saltwater pool that I walk past quite often.

I am happy to get another painting finished after being so busy moving house! It has been a long time. I'm back living in New Zealand after travelling for 10 months around Australia. It feels good to be back where I belong and to walk around the areas I love! This is one of them...the estuary sunbleached grasses!

This marsh grass is along the waters edge of a big Estuary across the road from where we are camping in Australia.The mud is an interesting red earth color. Still not much time for painting but I do what I can!

I managed to paint this between travelling times! We stayed a few days at Shark Bay on the Western Australian Coast, a beautiful place with golden sands, turquoise blue water and patches of grass...just the subject I love to paint. Happy to get another painting finished!!

I loved the way these Pelicans were standing waiting patiently for fishermen to come in from fishing. I still don't have much time for painting and limited internet, so I was pleased to be able to get this one finished!!

It's been a while since I posted... time has been limited for painting while we travel! I picked this Frangipani while out walking in Emerald, Australia. It is a favorite flower of mine and the perfume is gorgeous... I had it in a small vase in the caravan. Whenever I get time I will be painting I love the colors in the landscape here and the light is beautiful!!
