I find it helpful to take a break and paint a few small ones when I am painting bigger work....it's    good to mix things up, it keeps the boredom at bay!   This is my small lot for last month  Blue Thimble, Evening Softness, Waterlilies and Mini Pumpkins  (Sold)...might aim for five this month!!

A new addition to my ongoing cotton series...and a new plastic thimble!! First time I've seen bright colored plastic ones, so I bought two others...orange and lime green. They will definitely feature in future paintings!!

I haven't posted for a few days because I have had family here on holiday, but I've managed to get this one in.  These pins have been sitting in this thimble for a while... I love the little bit of color with the greys and the shadow patterns... another one for my thread series!

Another one in the cotton series...this is a bit different from the reels of cotton I usually do. I enjoyed painting the silver in this, the thimble has some subtle color reflections that I like. I still have more to come but they will be different colors...I've been painting a lot of blue and need a change!
