Once again I have used my glass palette to sit these pears on. I have used it so many times...it is painted a medium gray and I love the reflections!  I'd say I use it just about as much for still life as I do for painting, I like to keep it simple...so easy...wipe it clean and it's ready!!

I did these pears a few weeks ago in pen and watercolor, some of my drawings I will hopefully use as studies throughout the year. I like the composition and the way they look like they are avoiding each other, hence the title!  Love painting pears!!

These are the green pears I  was going to draw yesterday! I liked the way these were leaning different ways, pear body language  I called it!! Looks like they were trying to avoid each other! Time was a problem today and I needed something simple to draw...these were perfect... obviously I wasn't meant to do them yesterday!!

I accidently deleted  post...sorry but here it is again!

This is one of the latest bowls that my husband made, it has a dry oatmeal glaze so has no shine to it. I thought it would be interesting to paint...it was...but also difficult to try and get that clay look! I liked the green pears with all the neutral colors around  them.
