Mother Love

6"x8" Oil on board

$85
Love the way the lamb is tucked in beside the Mother!   These sheep are kept in a paddock along side a walkway near the Estuary. I have got behind with my painting again...other than everyday life getting  in the way, I have been working on other paintings for two exhibitions. I need another few hours in my days!

This sold straight off the easel! I painted it  from one of my holiday photos in Perth, Western Australia. The coastline is beautiful over there, beautiful beaches with lovely light and white sand. I wish I had taken more photos!

Brie,Cherry Tomato and Basil Boat

6"x6 Oil on board
SOLD

Some more of my favourite food!  I took quite a while to set this up, initially I had the whole basil plant, but decided on just one leaf so I could sit the tomato in it.... a boat came to mind when it came to the title! I used the same palette as the two before this and I'm lovin' it! So many colours!

Hibiscus Bud

6"x6" Oil on board

This hibiscus is from my garden, they flower most of the year and turn a darker orange in the winter....thought I would try the orange again!  I used the same palette as the persimmon and like the range of greys I can make with it! The next landscape I paint I am going to use it...stay tuned!

Persimmon

6"x6" Oil on board

$85
Persimmons are in season again... I love the delicate flavour of this fruit and the lovely colour. I toned this board orange so I could leave small bits peeking through. This one nearly got thrown in the bin! I find the colour orange quite difficult, but I stuck it out and was reasonably happy with it in the end. I used a limited palette of cad red, cad yellow light, ultra blue and white.

This view looks to the East and is just before an old bridge that is used as part of the walkway across the water.

Wildflowers

6"x6" Oil on board

These wildflowers grow along the Estuary walkway in various shades of pink, some of them are tucked away under trees... I liked the way these two were sitting in the dark with just a little light peeking through!

Pampas Grass

6"x6" Oil on board

$85 + $20 s/h

This Pampas grass grows along the Estuary walkway...when the sky is overcast and stormy looking, the grass is a bright green as it was this day. There was enough light in the sky to cast a few shadows on the road as well. Love the sky when it's like this... every color seems brighter!
