Little Shag

I often see Little Shags when I am walking around the Estuary in the mornings, they are usually perched on a rock or a post. There is something appealing to me about them, they sit quietly observing everything around them....this little guy looks like he is on guard  and didn't seem to mind me being nearby.

    There is a calm serenity about this painting,he certainly does have a presence and the whole scene is beautifully painted!
    How lucky are you to live near an estuary,the fresh air alone must be so invigorating!
