Another one from my wanderings around the Estuary.  One of my  favourite parts of  this area are the reeds... I love the way they have so many colours in them  and are always sitting there ready for me to paint... makes life easy!

Morning Stillness

6"x8" Oil on board

SOLD

Back to landscapes for a change ...I have been walking around the Estuary walkway this week, there is always a lovely stillness here early in the day. I have a few more to paint from around this area, it's one of my favourite places... even better,  it's so close to my home!  As we head into winter, the mornings have been frosty...the upside is the beautiful clear sunny days that follow!

Path Marker

6"x6" Oil on board
$85 +$20 s/h
This painting was done with a palette of alizarin crimson, cad yellow, ultramarine blue, white and black for the Limited Palette Challenge on facebook... I used very little black and was surprised at the range of colors I was able to mix! These markers are along the Estuary walkway where I often walk in the mornings.

Oriental Eggplants

6"x6" Oil on board
SOLD
$85 + $20 s/h

I had a great holiday in Australia! I did miss painting, but took lots of photos for reference, so I am back at my easel and happy!!
I bought a bag of eggplants from the market and these two were the smallest... they almost look like twins!
Green and violet are two of my favourite colors so I had fun painting this.

Reeds at Low tide

Another one I did before my holiday. These reeds in the Estuary are always changing color, depending on the light and time of day. This was a cloudy morning at low tide. I am still on holiday and don't always have access to the internet, so only post when I can. Back next week and painting!!
