Well it's been a while since I have posted here. I have been busy working on a series of the place I go on my morning walks ...these are some of the finished ones. I have spent a lot of time following birds around taking photos and searching out areas to paint. I really like that part of the process because often what I have in mind to paint is not what ends up on the canvas!
Bringing interest to life around me...small oil paintings to share a way of seeing and feeling.

Recap of March-April Paintings
March-April Paintings
My small collection of daily paintings for the last couple of months! Not many... due to having visitors and doing other projects around the house. I am looking forward to painting a couple of slightly larger landscapes as well as more small ones this month.... fingers crossed!!

Halfway Mark
I am halfway with my exhibition paintings, these seabird ones are finished and now I have four landscapes to do! All paintings are from around the Estuary across the road from where I live.
There are Kingfishers and Herons around the area too but so far I haven't had any luck getting photos, they don't hang around for long enough.
I have wanted to do this for a long time so when the opportunity to have a joint exhibition in October with another friend came up I couldn't refuse....I have been painting small for nearly four years so this has inspired me to do bigger ones again and I am enjoying it!!
