Persimmons

I managed to paint a couple of Persimmons before the season ended....I love this fruit so usually they
get eaten before I think about  painting them! Orange is another hard color I find difficult to paint, mainly because of the darks! It came down to  mixing  red, yellow and blue with a touch of burnt sienna.

    I've never eaten a persimmon. Something about the name screams, "Sharon you won't like this". How dumb is that. But I love the painting.

    I love painting persimmons but I haven't done them for a while. These are great Karen! I agree, orange tones are difficult :-)

    I'm back from my trip but won't be painting until mid October....have a few projects to take care of first.
