Christmas Flower

6"x6" Oil on gessoboard
$50+s/h

The Daily Paintworks challenge this week is called Quick Christmas challenge. I haven't entered a painting for a long time and wanted to use a palette knife and have a bit of fun...so here is mine! It is the flower from the New Zealand native coastal Pohutukawa tree...it flowers from November until January and is known as our Christmas Tree.

  1. This is beautiful Karen! you've done a great job with the palette knife. What a lovely native Christmas tree. I am planning to photograph one of our native Christmas trees to post. Ours is fluorescent orange!
