I love chocolates...definitely one of life's little pleasures I think! This painting was a bit of a challenge... I find orange hard to paint and the wrapper was a nightmare!! With a bit of perseverance I ended up feeling ok with it!!
It is good to get back to painting! I had a great holiday with my family and I didn't want to leave them!! I did realize though, that I am lucky I can paint...it helps to pass the time doing what I love! Now all I have to do is shift house, build another studio, then I can paint every day again!!

  3. You have a clarity to your work which it very special. It provides an emotional response from me. Goes beyond looking real somehow. A photo looks real, but doesn't take me beyond into a space of air and clarity like your paintings do.

  5. You do such a wonderful job with your neutral colors to offset the richer color and make it pop. This is the perfect example and the reds and greens make such a beautiful harmony. Love!
