Another in my series of cotton...it took me a while to get this composition set up, I tried all sorts of combinations before I settled on this one. I'm happy I have found a new use for my cottons!

I had fun setting up this still life...it was a bit tricky getting the cotton to behave! I used to sew a lot and still have plenty of  threads and ribbons, so I will be painting more of these.

I posted this a few days ago but somehow it disappeared, so here it is again! My neighbour gave me this avocado, picked fresh from her tree it, was big and had a smooth skin with the stalk still attached. There's not a lot more to say about this...other than it is delicious with lime...and I loved painting it!

It's been many years since I have eaten loquats, so it was a real treat when I was given these, they have such a delicious tangy, sweet flavour...I love it when I paint fruit then get to eat it!!

Beautiful Boy

This steer is one in a  group of three I came across a while ago while out driving in the country, they were on the roadside and stood quietly while I took photos of them. He had a gentle look about him that appealed to me...therefore the name Beautiful Boy!!

It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted...been busy with Christmas! I have been able to get a bit of painting done... this pond was full of waterlilies but this one was sitting pretty on it's own and I loved the reflection in the still water.
